This was the first music video I created for jessicab as this was her first song release. We filmed during October 2020 and the video was released alongside the single.
In this project I have done the filming, location, editing, direction and a bit of costume.

We shot this at school and wanted it to mirror a school day of a student struggling with mental health problems. Jessicab stars in the video herself and plays a student who isn't in their own body. They can't focus on reality and seem absent from her own mind. When she's with people she is off somewhere else, mentally, and when she's alone she feels lost. She is constantly thinking about something and not living in the real world. No one seems to notice she isn't there. The video is taken from the girls perspective, so it is obvious the girl is somewhere else. The people around her, her friends, are not bad for not noticing, they just cant see the signs as they are too subtle for them (although glaringly obvious for her).
Cast/Crew
I love working with jessicab because her poetic lyrics make it so easy to come up with ideas for clips and stories. I also like working with her to attach an aesthetic or feel to each of her songs before we turn it into a video. For this video we she wanted high saturation, so we came up with a very autumn feel that could echo this
