Model: Genevieve Barrow
In my first exploration of the fear of feet, I spent time creating images of a foot that encompassed all of the interviewee's triggers.
I used SFX makeup on the models foot to make it seem dry, infected and fungal. I got her to gently dip the base of her foot in a tray of yellow dyed water and then into a tray of flour. This created the peeling skin look. I then used a variety of eyeshadows and powered to colour her foot and face paint for her toes.
In the photos, I really wanted to isolate the foot from the rest of the body. I tried to shoot her body-less foot as it highlights and concentrates on the phobic stimulus that way.
In these images I have done the lighting, composition, SFX, and photography.
